Creating chapters

I am in the process of preparing a project that will hopefully end up on a dvd. However, I do not see any way of separating the project into chapters so that the viewer may select specific chapters to view. The help manual seems to be silent on the subject.
At the moment it is also not clear to me how I will burn this project onto the dvd.

You don't say what version you are using, but starting on page 120 of the VS10 manual is an entire chapter on creating...chapters.

Not a problem, but the Help menu is basically the same as the manual. From the Help menu click on the Contents tab. Then open Share > Burning a DVD, VCD, SVCD or HD > Adding/Editing Chapters. Also, a Help menu search for "chapter" brings up a few topics, including Adding/Editing Chapters. I can understand how you missed it.
