Ulead VideoStudio 10 versus Catalyst 7.1 on ATI AIW X1900
Is there a way to get capture to work in VideoStudio 10 when using an ATI AIW X1900. For previous cards, it is suggested to use earlier Catalyst and MMC combinations, but the only recent Catalyst drivers which include the problematic capture framework support the X1900 chipset.

I can't really help you with this particular card but experience with problems of users with Catalyst drivers and the solutions offered would prompt me to say this: Capture with the catalyst software supplied with your card and edit in VS 10+
As with any analog capture device, be it ATI, HAUPPAUGE or whatever, the capture software, even ULEAD SE versions bundled with these cards, are tweaked to work with the hardware supplied. Stock standard video editing suites, not only ULEAD's, may not work at all or give you problems.

The issue is been submitted to Ulead before. I think maybe they will fix it in the next update.
For now, I would suggest to capture the video with ATi Multi-Media Center and then import the video into VS for editing.
Sorry if this does not help.
