Hello there, I hope you can help me burn my sisters wedding DVD!!
Nature of the problem:
I have managed to burn one of three DVDs I have made using footage from a JVC miniDV video camera. However on trying to burn discs 2 and 3 I get the following message after the program has almost finished rendering: CONVERT STEP GOT SOME PROBLEMS 257:0:0.
I know that this topic has been raised in previous posts but I could not see any answers, so please can you help!!

It's having trouble with your source video file. I assume that discs 2 & 3 are different footage... They aren't just copies of disc 1, right?
(I don't know why it's converting it, since you've selected Do Not Convert. Maybe it's converting the audio... Maybe it's just confused.
)
Since you have a miniDV camera, you source files should be AVI/DV (13 GB per hour). Do all of your editing in DV format*, and then compress them to MPEG-2 once. And, don't "touch" the MPEGs after encoding them.
Sometimes, simply editing an MPEG can corrupt it. (I call it "sneaky corruption" because every time it's happened to me, the MPEG has played-back fine, but caused trouble when I tried to make a DVD.)
*If this will require a lot of re-editing for you, VideoReDo and Womble both include MPEG repair tools, and the free trials might be worth a try.
P.S.
Nobody wants to watch 3 DVDs of wedding video anyway!
