Which version of DVD WS are you using? 1.x, 2.x, Full, Express, SE, other :?:

DVD WS 2.x does not do 16:9 menus, so the menus will always be 4:3.

Do you mean that the VIDEO is 4:3?

Can you rt-click on your source video (on the timeline within DVD WS 2.x), and post the properties here?

Regards,
George

thanks

Do you mean 720x480 (instead of 730x480)?

Are you creating NTSC or PAL DVD?

That setting in the picture looks ok -- it should show as Letterbox on a standard TV, but should be widescreen on a widescreen TV.

Is the program re-converting your mpeg source? or is it using it "asis" (in the EDIT step, the box that says "Convert to disc Template" -- is it blank, or is it checked off or "ghosted") :?:

For NTSC, 720x480 is good (you wrote 730x480 -- I just wanted to make sure you meant 720x480).

Is the program re-converting your mpeg source? or is it using it "asis" (in the EDIT step, the box that says "Convert to disc Template" -- is it blank, or is it checked off or "ghosted") :?:

Do you have software DVD Player on your computer? If you use software on your computer (WinDVD or PowerDVD), does it play back in widescreen mode on your computer :?:

Have you played a Retail Widescreen DVD in that DVD Player? Did a Retail / Hollywood Widescreen DVD Play as widescreen?

Maybe you have to go into the setup of the DVD Player, and setup the playback display mode?
