MovieFactory 3 Errors??

Ok when I installed the full version disk creator and tried to create a video disk DVD. It didn't work, all it did was it ran some kind of search bar before it returned back to the menu? It doesn't seem to run the 'create video disk' as it goes back to the main menu. I even installed teh patches to make sure, and it wasn't working either. Help please?
