PI Album 12 problem creating Web album or slideshow

Post by jimbong »

I have repeatedly tried to create both a Web album and slideshow with my newly installed PI Album 12 component. It seems to create the individual image pages OK, but the first page -- which I assume is the thumbnail display, is ALWAYS blank when viewed in my default Firefox browser or in Netscape. However, it seems to appear OK in Internet Explorer.

When I've selected the frame option for the thumbnails, that appears on the side designated, but the associated image frames will not display.

Also, when I try to view the index.html page in Microsoft FrontPage to try to troubleshoot the markup language, it refuses to display at all.

I've tried to tune Firefox and Netscape to allow those pages to display as frames or popups or as trusted sources, but nothing seems to help

Can anyone explain how to resolve these problems? This sophisticated new software does not seem to be nearly as capable or intuitive as some of the cheapo stuff I've used so far.

I've happily used PI 8 for a long time now to work with photos and graphics, but so far I'm frustrated with PI 12's extras.

I never use the Album feature at all, I use PhotoExplorer which also comes with PI. I have created many slide shows for the web with it and these work well in FireFox also.
