add 3d models to project

Post by m rixon »

I have down loaded several 3d models, imported them and converted them to c3d.I now want to create a project using 4 different c3d models but each time I open one it opens in its own window. How do I get them all into my original window?I think perhaps I should have left the models I downloaded as zip files and only unzipped as needed.Putting them into the c3d folder looks like a mistake.

You need to go to File>Import 3D Model>3D Studio Model. You can import as many as you want into the same project.

Remember to have the D3D Data Type checked.

You are presumably agreeing that I should not have converted the original zipped models into c3d.I should only unzip as required. If that is the answer its a shame that Cool3d cannot import more than one of its own file format into a project.Surely this is a big mistake by Ulead.

It can import other graphic formats such as EMF, WMF, AI, it can also import DirectX models/files (*.x).

I really haven't created any other similar tutorials. Any that I have done can be found by doing a search on my user name, and using the drop-down menu to search in Product Tutorials, Video Products, Imaging, DVD, or Combination. I may have one or two in each of them.

I think you have misunderstood the meaning of the C3D file. The C3D file is a 3D animation project file, not a 3D model or 3D object file.

If you wish to export 3D models in C3D Production Studio, select the object you wish to export then choose File->Export 3D Model.

Hope this helps.
