DMF 3.5 stability problems?

I've been please with Moviefactory 3.5 since I bought it....capturing TV, removing commericials....burning DVD's without problem. Now I've begun using all the features with some home video... replacing audio with MP3, transitions, menus, slide shows (all in a single project) ...and now DMF "crashes" almost every time I run a semi-complex project.

The workaround (after a lot of testing/reconfiguring) is to completely power down the computer....bring it back up and then the project will run. Simply restarting doesn't help. My videos are captured VHS (mpeg2-8000 variable, replacing audio in DMF with MP3s....letting DMF encode to LPCM. Question is...is anyone else experiencing this instability? I'm wondering if the software is this buggy or if I have other issues (e.g. bad memory or something. I've installed all the updates.

Transitions may be your problem - they have never worked for me. They do work in Video Studio 8. You have to buy every Ulead product to get a complete solution!
