Initializing DVD for recording freezing...

I hope you can help. I think I have done everything right.. Have movies on my computer to burn.... but I cant burn... It starts out well enough... Converting videos, then video/audio multiplexing goes fine. Finalizing VOB goes fine. And then we come to Initializing DVD for recording..... and it just sits there.... frozen?? Just sits there... so long 45 minutes is the longest I have left it before I finally shut down my computer because I cant even get out without doing that. I have a Sony Dual DVD-RW 8x dual layer writer in my computer and I am using 8/x /write speed DVD+R discs. Please if anyone has any idea what direction I can go.. please respond...

Check the Ulead website for DVD compatibility. The list of Ulead-supported DVD drives is always well out of date, so the Sony 8x DL may not be supported.

Your procedure is clearly causing a total re-rendering of your project during the Burn phase, which is causing your problems. (The clue is the "Converting Videos message.") Read the top post and follow the Recommended Procedure. You will be a happy camper.
