Its as good a way as any.jwalk2c wrote:The method I used to cut the raw file up into individual events was to use multi trim by mark in and mark out.
I had to waste a portion of a frame between each mark out and each mark in.
( you should be able to retrieve these frames. From the timeline-- drag the yellow trim bars) I do not know if you can click mark out and then imeditlay
click mark in to separate events.
That was simple enough but once you choose ok what is next step?
It seems the file appears on the timeline with the cuts as thumbnails.
What I did then was drag each thumbnail up into the library.
Then I chose "new project" and inserted the thumnails back into time line one at a time and that is when I saved each thumbnail as a vsp. file.
Is this how it is done?
Thanks

Hi
There are many ways to edit, non are wrong, just what each prefers.
I do not use multi trim but the scissors to cut the timeline.
If needed I use the library to store the cuts, allowing me to start a new project, dragging the relevant parts to the timeline.
You can use Shift + Click to select multiple adjacent clips, then drag to the library.
Be aware that VS 10 may not place them in order.
If you find this so, use Shift + Click to select, Right Click - Copy. Then in the library Right Click-Paste. Your clips should be in order. No problems dragging from library to timeline.
As I say the method to separate the vsp into several vsp¡¦s can vary. Its what works for you.
If you have say 10 clips, and the first three are for VSP 1
Delete 4-10 then save the project.
Hit the undo button to replace the deleted clips.
Remove 1-3 and 7-10
Save As Vsp 2
Hit the undo button.
Hope this is not confusing the issue.
Regards
Trevor
