Menu Buttons and transition effects

Hi guys,

I've been making videos for about 8 months now, but Ive only recently started burning them to VCD (and only a week ago to DVD with the addition of a Pioneer 109 DVDRW

) and therefore mucking around with menus and etc.

Ive had very little practice with the menus, and im starting to get the hang of it, however, the menu creation part of VideoStudio seems to lack quite a bit in the fact that there is only a limited number of menu button types and etc that you can use..

I was wondering if there is any way to get more button types or make some myself... Its not that I don't like them, but it would be nice to be able to make your own custom buttons and etc... So all the videos don't have to have the same buttons... Does anyone know how to make them? or where to get more??

I had a search on the forums but with no luck... any ideas??

On the same type of subject is there any way to make (or anywhere to download) some more transitions and video effects for UVS 8??

I have UVS 8 WinXP Pro SP2, AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1GB RAM 60&20 GB HDD.

Hi Tristan --

Recently there have been a couple of threads about editing menus using Ulead's PhotoImpact. You can acquire a slightly older version of this very inexpensively on eBay. The point is that the Ulead VideoStudio menus use a format that Ulead's PhotoImpact not surprisingly recognizes.

I was the one asking for directions and so you'll find some pretty detailed instructions for menu editing. Be careful with it: I discovered you can screw menus up, too.
