I don't understand VS10-Pausing feature gone within Pan &

I appreciate the posting titled VS10-Pausing feature gone within Pan & zoom. That's what I want to do.
However, I don't see how to copy a frame.
I'm in the Pan and Zoom window and can set the beginning and ending zoom, but how do I select one frame? so I can copy and paste it?

do I do this all in that window? do I go back to the timeline after I've set the zoom?

Is this for video or images? I'm assuming it's images as that's where I'm finding Pan & Zoom
