Opening Old Files with Downloaded Trial Version Workshop 2
I've been using a version of Workshop 2 for some time to create DVD's on one computer. Moved those files to another computer. Downloaded the trial version of Workshop 2, but it won't open those old files. Any idea why?
Well, your project file on the original computer may find different files you are using in a variety of paths, maybe over different partitions or even drives. For example, if one of the files were e:\videofiles\project\anyold.avi, this file would have to be put in with exactly the same path, or the project file would never find it.

There are 2 issues here I believe.
The first issue is to copy a DVDWS project from one computer to another computer. If you have made the project copy properly, it should be opened but might prompt some warning message to ask you to relink the video clips in the project because the file links in the project are broken (because it's another computer).
The second issue is to open a DVDWS project which is made by a FULL version DVDWS in the TRIAL version. However, you might get problems because the FULL version DVDWS might have changed something in the project file that the TRIAL version would not recognize (for example, you might have applied some update packs in the FULL version DVDWS).
If the second issue is the case, you need to install / buy another copy of the FULL version of DVDWS on the second computer so you can open the project properly.
Check the update pack log in http://www.ulead.com/tech/dws/dws_ftp.htm , you will see the v2.011 update pack has fixed some smart relink bug.
