Hi,
I've got an old Sony VideoCam which use the old Hi8 Tapes.
This Cam also record the Date and Time on the Tape.
But when I transfer the Video with VideoStudio 10 on my PC (with Firewire), I've got the Video without the Date and Time.
How can I have this (Timecode)-Signal on the Video, without always tiping it manuely as Textform in the Video.
(Sorry I'm a newbie in video editing.)
Thanks for Help.
Alex

Welcome to the forums Alex,
The DV date and time code can be displayed in the preview window, however this information is not transfered on to your final video file. To view it in the preview window Go to File >Preferences (or press F6), then at the very bottom of the first tab (General), there is a box beside Display DV Timecode in Preview Window, check it. Now when you preview your video clip, it will show the date and time code.
There is a freebie program that will burn the date and time code into the DV file. This only works for DV. You can get it here: DVdate
