Additional Lower Third Graphics Templates??

Post by blplhp »

Hi,

I asked this question in the PhotoImpact Forum two days ago, but have not received any responses yet, so I will try here since it ultimately relates to VS10+ and to the many VS users who also work with PI 12:

I am looking for additional lower third graphic (LTG) templates in the Component Designer mode of PhotoImpact 12. Are there any?

I did see a free download on the PhotoImpact 12 site called Component Designer Templates (component (e).exe). Does this download file include additional LTG templates not provided in the full retail box version? The website notes are a bit confusing. If so, has anyone downloaded this package and does it provide many additional and useful LTG templates? I'm looking for ESPN-like type templates or news type templates.

Thanks for your help.
Cheers,

Bryan P.

Why isn't anyone answering this question? :?

Ron, I was hoping maybe you could answer this, since you did the video tutorials for Lower Third Graphics, and in Part 1, you used PI 11 or 12.

I'd like to know if the free download for LTG templates on the Ulead website are additional to the ones in the full boxed version of PI 12, and/or if there are any other sources for getting additional LTG templates, especially those that look more like ESPN or the on-line news channels.

Thanks. :) :)
Cheers,

Bryan P.

Bryan,

I don't know about templates for PI, but have you ever looked at Digital Juice?

Some of their stuff is a bit pricey, but every once in a while they have GREAT deals. In December I bought $4,000 worth of software for $400!

The problem is that none of us know.
When I installed PhotoImpact (Any version) I immediately installed ALL of the extra content which comes as several separate files.

So simply I have no idea what wasn't there before I installed all the extras and I suspect that's what the rest of us did.

Thanks Steve,

Let's now do this the easy way. In my fully boxed version of PI 12, I have 6 trees of Lower Third Graphics templates in my Component Designer module, with a grand total of 24 templates. Does everyone else have 24 or does anyone have more than 24 templates?
Cheers,

Bryan P.

Thanks Guys,

So then, the free download link for additional LTG templates on ULead's website, does anyone know if these are in addition to the 24 in the basic program or are these the same as the 24 in the program? In other words, has anyone tried downloading these yet to see if they get new additional templates?

Thanks.
Cheers,

Bryan P.

And, does anyone know if there are sites where you can get additional LTG templates to add to PI 12, other than ULead's website?

Hi... Just wondering from your post, does Digital Juice products work with VideoStudio 10+ or 11+? They have tutorials for other programs but not VS and I can't afford a trial and error purchase.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Absolutely they work with VS. They work with any editing system because you render them to an avi file (or QuickTime, etc.), so it's just like putting any other video clip on your timeline.

If you go to the DJ forum they do have tips for using their products in VS. Basically, you'll want to render to an uncompressed avi for insertion into VS. If you have any problems the folks on the DJ forum are almost as helpful as this forum. ALMOST!

And make sure you sign up for the DJ email newsletter so you are notified of their fantastic deals!

Could very well have been them. They've been spotted on TV's most popular show, American Idol, as well as many others.
