direct to disk???

using hauppage 150 PVR and when i try to use direct to disk it pops up and says to create editable disk i need to change my record format , my ntsc setting or change my output format in f6 none of which does anything ive tried all!! i cant get to project settings its greyed out

is it because im using MF 3 and it wont convert to mpeg2 automatically sometimes i get it will do conversion which will take some time!! but then i run into roadblocks after that also!!!!!!!!!!
