Hi,
If you do purchased MF4 to have the extra's for complete menuing templates
the additional file to download is approx 332megs.
So to download the complete package would be 2 files:
1 - The main program (approx 98meg)
2 - The templates (approx 332meg)
Probably best to order the boxed version if you have a dialup connection.
Also, it's important to printout the "README" file in the MF4 directory
and the instruction manuals.
MF4 loads 2 more executables that run as system when the
computer boots up.
Haven't had time to determine if the resident programs will conflict with
Nero "INCD" yet (or vice versa).
The program is a complete Suite. It includes the "Burn.now" programs for
audio/dvd music creation/extraction.
Another screen for Divx / MP4 creation.
It is supposed to work with MP4's and Divx. Don't know how well though.
They added the "VERIFY" function for CD/DVD creation which I like.
If they are planning to release a similiar upgrade to DVD Workshop
(maybe called WS3(?) the enhancements will be great.
So far I've extracted a few DVD-R's that I made quite sometime ago.
This version lets you choose the chapters of the complete mpeg2 file
that was originally encoded in the vob container or chapters.
So now you can finally import a dvd properly.

** Also if anyone does purchase MF4 I really would NOT recommend
** installing any CD/DVD burning patches or engines unless you
** really are instructed to do so by ulead and having problems burning.

Alloy,
Read the ulead website. I guess you can import them.
It has a section to create Divx dvd's so it must be able to encode
the Mp4 codec.

Bought MF4. I only copy video through firewire then author and render. Previous v3.5 crashed a lot - this one did not on my first render, so far so good. For what I do, the new MF4 is basically the old MF3.5 in a new skin. A/V sync is not a problem for me using firewire so the new audio correction button was no use.
Still the same old irritations when authoring - still limited to 30sec loops of motion video and sound. Still not able to choose a sound track and listen to it BEFORE you go onto the next stage. Could not find MP4 capability. By the way, Nerovision has all these.
Tried the 2-pass VBR to render a 13 minute AVI. MF4 took 50 minutes to produce a VIDEO_TS folder, whereas Nerovision took 30 minutes for exactly the same task. MF4 is very slow. Someone said something about getting a refund under US law - does that apply to Aussies too?
