Hello:
Can anyone tell me how to determine the field order of my captured video. Properties does not tell me. Is there a utility I can purchase that will scan the video and determine the field order?
Thanks

Hi
using VS 7 / 8
From preferences select ‘Show Messages when inserting first clip into timeline’
Start a new project
Insert your video clip to the timeline
You get a pop-up window asking you to change the project settings to match the video clip.
Select Details
You should be able to view both options, video clip and project settings.
If you captured to Dv-Avi from a digital camcorder then it is almost certain that the field order will be ‘lower’ or ‘field A’
If you captured to Mpeg then you should have selected the field order prior to capture.
Hope this helps
