Stumped on this one! I have observed this on DVD's made from 8mm camcorder videos captured by a Plextor Convert-X and processed on VS 8. Some made earlier from .AVI clips and processed on WinDVD Creator play normally through the center channel speaker.
Does anybody have any ideas as to what is going on? Would it have anything to do with the audio connections to the Plextor from the camcorder?
Many thanks for your help!

Sound frm Surround Sound Speakers not Center Channel: Solved
Hi Brian-
The original post title alludes to the fact that the sound was coming out of my surround sound speakers, not the center channel. The problem had to do with the way the capture device (Plextor Convert-x) was connected to the 8mm camcorder. I am now using a "Y" adapter to feed the mono sound from the camcorder into the R/L audio inputs of the Convert-X.
