Can anyone help?... I recently purchased Video Studio 10 Plus. All was initially very well indeed. I was amazed at the smooth, user friendly ease that I was able to capture and edit my holiday footage. The professional effects, titles and soundtracks that I added, made it such a great project to do. Although the program was very easy to work with, this still took me quite a time to complete, until I was happy with the finished project... However, once my creation was complete, all I simply wished to do then was carry out what I thought would probably be the most elementary process of the whole thing, which was to burn it all onto a DVD disc... Well not wishing to put to fine a point upon it, with the help of the book, the online help, even talking to someone at the telephone helpline, I must by now have tried just about every single trick known to human science to carry out this, what should be such a simple task, with absolutely no success what so ever. Is it me? Am I doing something wrong? Or is it the program or my computer?... Please if there is anyone at all out there who maybe able to throw some light upon this problem, I would love to hear from you as it seems increasingly that the only option left open to me is to go out and re-purchase another similar program from a different manufacturer...
Many Thanks Indeed... Pete.

Hi Pete
And welcome to the forum
I am sure that every reader of your post is sorry that you are having problems with video studio, and creating a dvd.
If you read your posting you will find that you have told little about your problem, except that it did not work.
So, what is the real problem.
Can you read the Recommended Procedure from the top of the forum.
This shows the working procedure that can be followed to create a good dvd.
How did you capture the video file? (dv camcorder-vhs tape?)
What video properties did you use to capture?
After editing did you Share-Create Video File?
Then Share Create-Disc
So what part of the process went wrong?
Sorry, but cannot be more constructive, but you give us little to go on.
Trevor

Hi Pete. Welcome to the Forum.
I am afraid, though, that no one is going to be able to help as you give us no information which we can sink our collective teeth into!
In effect, your post says 'I can capture and edit, but not burn'. Nothing more than that. We are not there to see what sort of computer you have, what its operating system is. Nor do we have the faintest idea of your work flow.
In particular, we need to know the format/properties of your captured files, your project properties and what you did when editing was complete. Did you first go to Share > Create Video File > DVD (recommended), or did you jump this step and go straight to Share > Create Disc? Doing this often creates problems for people...
In the burning module, did you create a main and chapter menus? What make and model is your burner?
Do you have either Nero or the Roxio Easy Media Creator suite on your computer? Both contain packet-writing (drag and drop) software which takes over the burner and denies access to it to other programs (like VS). The Nero individual program which does this is InCD and has to be totally uninstalled. I can't recall the Roxio program's name, but it can be internally disabled and doesn't have to be uninstalled.
Anyway, all this will give us some concrete information for concrete suggestions.
And finally, read the Recommended Procedures contained in the top sticky post on this forum.

Sure someone could help, if there was anything one could base any attempted help on.starwaymorgan wrote:Can anyone help?... Since this is your first post here, I tend to disagree with your statement that you tried everything
Is it you, you asked? I bet, to some degree. Again, I can't tell you what you did wrong because I haven't got the faintest idea what you did and how and to what format.
By all means, if you got money to burn, go and buy another program. Don't expect it to be any easier to understand though.
Did you have a read of this http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=27 and tried to follow the advice given?
Another bit of self help, which makes it a lot easier for any of us to give meaningful advice can be found here http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=8959.
I'm sure help will be forthcoming, if you care to provide the info hinted at in the last link.
