Running VS 10+ on an Apple

Post by meshuken »

Has anyone tried running VS 10+ on the new Apple Intel based system?

Boot Camp on the Apple is supposed to run exactly like a PC (not an emulator) and I was wondering if a program like VS 10+ would run smoothly on it.

Thanks

Why don't you download the trial version?

But, since Apple has a reputation of working well with images, audio, video, and other "creative stuff", I'd think there would be some really good OS-X programs to choose from.

EDIT - I just realized that maybe you don't have the Intel Mac yet...

By using BootCamp you can run WinXP on the Intel Mac. Once you run WinXP, yes you can install and run VS 10 because it's WinXP not OS X. However, the BootCamp drivers for WinXP are not complete (at the present time because it's still in the Beta stage), so you might get some incompatible issues.

It's been told that the final BootCamp drivers for WinXP will be completed in this June with the new OS X version, however it's not confirmed by Apple.
