I received a digital camera for Christmas and the Ulead software came with it. I've been playing with the video feature of this camera and have succeeded in making several. However, when I download to my pc via Ulead, I get a message that says: Video not available, cannot find 'vid:XVID' decompressor. I don't know what that means and, of course, I don't know how to remedy it to be able to download and view the videos on my pc. Could someone explain this to me?
Thanks,
New kid on the block.

As the name suggests, PhotoExplorer, predominantly is just that, a utility that lets you view and organize photos and images.
Whilst it has video capture capabilities it does not come with exotic video codecs. From the message you get I gather that your video is Xvid, a very highly compressed video format. You will need to find the codec somewhere to enable PEX to capture this format.

Hi,
To play the video file you downloaded in PhotoExplorer, you need to download the codec pack used in that file. In your case, it's XviD. You can go to http://www.xvid.org to download it.
