Hello:
I was using DIKO for converting an AVI to DVD files, and for unknown reasons it stopped responding and all what i got is an .MPV file without audio. What can I do now to complete this and burn a dvd?
What tools do I need? Is DVD MovieFactory OK ?

24 bits, 720 x 480, 4:3
Frame rate: 29.970 fames/sec
Data rate : Variable bit rate (Max. 8000 kbps)
Duration : 5240.807 seconds
The original .AVI file details are the following:
Frame rate: 29.970 frames/sec

While DivX files can be created with VS, (provided you have the codec installed, it and XviD are very problematic for VS to edit. They are very highly compressed formats. Most people do not have very good success if any at all.
It is recommended to convert your Xvid and DivX files to a format that VS can handle, like MPEG2, and a program that does a good job is SUPER.

You should use SUPER to convert the AVI file to MPG file, not the VOB file, to use in UVS.
Since you've already done it, try renaming the VOB file to MPG then import the file into UVS...

The VS10 Create Disc module will take a DVD VOB file which has been created with SUPER with no problem I've done it loads of times.
It will give you a message saying that you can't edit it and asking if you want to make it editable. Answer No and then burn as normal.
VS will create the .ifo and .bup and split the VOB into it's 1 Gb parts.
