In the "Select a template to create menu" step, under the "Edit" tab, I pushed the "Customize" button. It took me to the "Customize Menu" window. In this window, I can choose "Background music" for the menus. I choose a song from my harddrive and saved it.
What I didn't realize (and don't want) is this: this song is played during the actual playing of scenes of the video. This is a MAJOR problem because I want to hear the original soundtrack of the video (not this song played endlessly)

When you create a DVD Menu (With any piece of software) what you are creating is a small video with hotspots superimposed upon that video.
That underlying video looks like a DVD Menu complete with buttons, moving thumbnails etc. When you use the navigation buttons on your DVD remote control you are moving from one hotspot to another, or by pressing the select button you activate that hotspot and so start playing a video or chapter or move onto another menu.
So, briefly that DVD menu has a fixed background soundtrack and you cannot alter it by selecting a different thumbnail.
To achieve what you want - selecting a thumbnail alters the background audio to whatever is in that particular thumbnail, you would need to use DVD Workshop 2 - and then you would create several menus that all appear identical. By selecting a particular thumbnail you would then in fact move to one of the other identical looking menus which would have the appropriate soundtrack.

Re: Major problem removing the music track from scenes
You mean when you actually press "PLAY", the scenes of your Title have that as the background audiobaedaebok wrote:In the "Select a template to create menu" step, under the "Edit" tab, I pushed the "Customize" button. Are you looking at the SCENE SELECTION menu (that will look like your Title, but have buttons to play the actual video)

Putting 36 chapters onto 1, 2, or 3 main menu pages
My mistake. I fixed the problem at the earlier screen with the "Enhance Video" stage. I wanted to hear different songs for each submenu. Each submenu shows three links of scenes.
What I really want to do is put all these links (and, hopefully, their related thumbnails) on the main menu page and do away with the submenu pages. This would make navigation easier.
I saw a downloadable suggested template http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... ]elsewhere on this forum that accepts 12 menus. Can I use three of these to accomodate the 32 chapters I have?
