MF5 Slideshow Max Limits

Post by MrP2 »

I am currently evaluating MF5. I would like to know what is the maximum number of slides and music tracks that can be saved in a slideshow?
Also, is there a way to work around the imposed limits? Thanks!

The maximum depends upon
1. The duration of all of your slides added together
Some could be lets say 3 seconds, others perhaps 12 seconds - so you need to add them all up to obtain the total duration.
2. The size of your media. You can get more onto a dual layer 9GB disc than you could with a single layer 4.3 GB disc.
3. The chosen bit rate settings. Your slideshow is in fact converted into a video. Just like any other video you can have 'standard play' and get 1 hour on a 4.3 GB disc or 'Long Play' or extra long play etc.

Thanks for the response. I should have been more explicit with my question. The total length of the slideshow will be around 20-25 minutes. The duration for each slide will probably be about 5 seconds (I didn't know you can set different durations for different slides). So the total number of slides is approximately 240. I want to use 10-20 music tracks in the slideshow. I will also add about a 10 minute video at the end of the slideshow. So the total amount of viewing time will be around 30 minutes, which should be no problem for a standard DVD.

So my question is...Does MF5 have a maximum set limit of slides and music tracks that can be saved in a slideshow?

Thanks in advance for your help.
