ULEAD DVD & PICTURE SHOW 4 FIT TO SCREEN PROBLEM

Post by PANCHA POP »

HI, WHEN I MAKE MY PHOTO SLIDESHOWS I MAKE THE PICTURES FIT TO SCREEN.
BUT WHEN I LOOK AT THE SLIDESHOW ON MY TV SOME PICTURES SEEM TO OVERFLOW THE SCREEN, I REALISE THIS BECAUSE I NORMALLY WORK WITH OLD PICS THAT HAVE THEIR ORIGINAL CAPTIONS (SUCH AS DATE, PLACE, ETC) AND THESE CAPTIONS ARE CUT IN THE MIDDLE OR SOMEWHERE SO CANT READ THEM PROPERLY AND THE SLIDESHOW LOOKS BAD.
IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN SOLVE THIS=?===???????? [/b] :oops:

It doesn't seem like Ulead team is taking their child product, Ulead Picture Show, seriously. Noone have replied to your seemingly easy question, and to add insult to injury, there isn't even a topic named Ulead Cd & DVD Picture Show amongst the "product list" in this forum. You had to post in "Imaging"! The more customers for Adobe -- you will see they will have all kinds of support, not to mention third party, for their products. This is also an official notice for InterVideo Ulead moderators: please include this product to the forum as a topic. We customers have invested in this product and deserve your SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@marmari
Are you for real??? :twisted:
http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewforum.php?f=4 is the forum for Picture Show, has been since the inception of this board.

@PANCHA POP

You may not know this, it's called internet ettikette, using all capital letters is considered SHOUTING and generally not appreciated.

I would follow marmari's advice and buy Adobe PhotShop, the full version in all it's glory and expense. :wink: You would really have a reason to shout then.

The problem you describe is not a ULEAD problem. It's the TV standard. Your analog TV is not going to show you your full image, never. What you are complaining about is, what every video enthusiast should know by now, called the TV overscan. Your TV screen, for technical reasons, will not display around 10 to 15% of your full frame, 10 to 15% on each and every side. It's just a fact of life.

That's why programs like CD & DVD PictureShow, VideoStudio, MediaStudioPro etc. have a setting where you can determine what your overscan margin is (because it varies from TV to TV) and it will also display the so called "Title Safe" area in the preview screen if you chose to display it. As long as you stay within the title safe area, your images will show completely.

You would have to make yourself a background image of the exact video frame dimensinons and place your images (smaller in size by the amount of overscan) onto this background.

THanks Heniz , will try the the title safe feature, and sorry about my caps writing. I assumed shouting was bold not caps.
Marmari, you are right I could not find where to post my question.
Now don't you guys know whether you can export one of CD DVD picture show slideshows into DVD Movie Factory? DVD Movie Factory has less control over slideshows than CD & DVD picture show.
