Convert step error

Post by Ormond Williams »

Further to my question about the "convert step got some problems" error when trying to burn a DVD with DVD Movie Factory.

After elimination of some of the items in the creation of the menu, I discovered it was the background music on the menu itself was the problem. I don't know why, but it now seems to be going ahead with building the disc content, which it never got to do before.

The music was a wmv. Is this a common problem with this music format?

wmv is not an audio format, it is a video format. If you have any audio track isolated from a video format (read also MP3), then inserting it into a new video format with different formatting may cause problems. Vonvert such tracks to WAV before inserting.

Devil,
I tried mp3, but as you said, it did not work. I have looked through the manual, but didn't find any helpful advice or instructions there. It's a darn good thing we have this forum and helpful people like yourself!

I will convert it to a WAV and try again tomorrow.

Thank you!
