High Def rendering in WMV forced down to Pocket PCresolution

Weird....
I am using UVS 10+ on 3 different PCs for High Definition edition .. On all 3, rendering in MPEG2 HD 1440x1080 works perfectly. However, when I try to render in HD WMV 1440x1080, only my Dell Dimension 8200 properly renders it. Both the Sony Media Center XL 100 and a HP nc 6220 laptop render it as 388x320 resolution though the WMV HD option is in the Share as video file menu... it seems it uses the wrong codec.

Any hint ???

You might have to download the codecs at this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... layLang=en

If you don't have the codecs installed they won't render properly.

Al,
I have never had good results with WMF HD - I haven't had time to work out the problems.

At least one user had good results. See page 4 of the thread that follows the HD Tutorial - http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... c&start=45

Thank you guys. Interesting thread... seems that many have issues, especially you John. On my side, downloading the windows media codecs solved the problem. I use Ulead WMF codec 1080i Standard quality and the result looks good.
