Video Studio 10+ keeps closing when selecting chapters

Post by laurenacsv »

I have been trying to get my videostudio 10plus to work for weeks now & am trying to get some answers to my issue.

Im using the mini dvds from my sony handycam DCR DVD755 & have placed them in the dvd drive of my new Toshiba laptop.

I go into video studio, go into insert medio file to library, insert dvd/dvd-vr & then i import from where they are found, i get to the page where i select the scenes i want & thats where without a doubt the program fails & closes.

I have downloaded the update, i finalised the dvds also to see if that helped but so far nothing. Any sugestions?? i need to get this dvd finished by thursday & im pulling my hair out!

Did you tick the little white boxes to the left of the scenes you have selected?

Failing that, have you tried copying the DVD to your hard disc, and trying Insert DVD from there?

And failing that, with the DVD contents on your hard drive, have you tried simply renaming the extensions from .VOB to .mpeg? That usually works, though of course you can only select and edit the scenes you want when you insert these much larger files into VS...

Hi ken
i think it may be solved! The method which worked was by saving it to the hard disk. When i was doing it direct from the dvd, it woulnt even preview the dvd content in that screen on the right.
But crisis over. Thanks for your assistance.
