"Limit Users Cannot Try This Product"

Post by Iamskill »

"Limit users cannot try this product. You can use normally after successful activation."

The message I recieved after installation as I tried to open Ulead Video Studio 10 plus.

There was a previous topic on this, however that was referring to using the program on Vista, and I'm running XP. I followed the advice given in that thread as far as possible, but I still cannot run the program. Any help would be appreciated.

You MUST run this program as administrator... only....

Unfortunately that's the problem - I am an administrator.

No problem...

I am too... :D

But you need to click in the Ulead Icon with the right button of the mouse and "Run as Administrator" :?

Thanks for replying - but when I right click the icon, there is no "Run as Administrator" option. There's "Run as...", which I've clicked on and tried with various administrator accounts, but nothing works.

Try right clicking the shortcut icon and choosing the compatibility tab and running in an earlier version of Windows. May or may not work but worth a try.

I don't appear to have a compatibility tab. Bah, I give up... :(

Do you have Windows XP SP2 (patch) installed?
Did you let the 'auto run' feature of the installation disk run and install the product?

Have you tried un-installing VS10+ and then re-installing it? Refer to this post for instructions.

Maybe a silly question but are you using the trial version and you installed it more than 30 days ago? The message suggests this ie. You can use normally after successful activation.

To get to COMPATIBILITY MODE right click on the shortcut icon then select PROPERTIES and then the COMPATIBILITY tab.

This is normally used for (old) software developed (written) for earlier versions of Windows which won't run under XP and therefore I don't think it will fix the problem being experienced.
