I'm using VS9.
I want to create a DVD which has only one video on it. I don't want any chapters, etc. When the DVD loads, I want a still image to fill the screen and for there to be a play button. Is this possible? If so, how do I do it?
Thanks

The full screen still image is no problem - but in VS9 you cannot have a menu screen with only the play button on it - you will have to settle for one thumbnail I'm afraid - the play button also comes by default.
just import your video to the 'Create Disc' function and click 'Next' - in the window which then appears under the preview screen you will see the option to insert a background image - which in your case will be a .bmp or .jpg still which you created from your video.
you do not have to have chapters - unless you choose to by clicking on 'Add/Edit Chapters'

Thanks BrianCee
I've done that plenty of times, it was the thumbnail I was trying to get rid of.
Is there a way of creating my own layout so I can have just one large thumbnail in the centre of the screen? That would achieve the look I'm after - but I can't find a way of altering the placement/size of the thumbnails once the template has been selected and using one of the templates which has a big first thumbnail looks lopsided on the screen when you don't have any further chapters/videos.
Reading through the other Menu posts, it looks as though PhotoImpact lets you create your own menu template but I don't really want to buy the software just for one menu. Presumably I can't do anything with Photoshop?

Also VS10 allows text only menus, no thumbnails. I've never tried it, but maybe you could leave the text blank and then all you would have is the play button.
