quicktime movie files clips choppy both video and sound

Post by robcat »

Hi folks,

I seem to be having a hard time putting together a video. What i am doing is very very simple. I have still pictures with back ground music i then added a movie clip, and its format isquicktime movie file. when i place the clip on my timeline and play it as the clip itself it plays fine but once i play the whole project the background music play's fine but the video barley moves and is choppy. :( go figure  . whats up and what am i doing wrong.
tx

is there away to take the clip and turn it from a quicktime file format to an avi format.

Quicktime is general name for many different types of video with different codecs and compression (kind of like the MAC equivalent to avi). Some of these dont lend them sleves to editing hence your choppy playback.

Best thing is to convert them to avi. I use RAD tools for this. It is free but if you use it they ask for a donation. Great piece of software
