I am wanting to import a .jpg file of a logo. The logo is multicolored. In the end, I want the logo to be 3D with the original colors. I want to be able to have it explode, twirl around, etc.
I don't know if I am importing correctly. Here is what I did. I clicked on insert graphics and then converted to Vector. It then inserted it into the Path Editor, but all the colors were gone. There are many, many colors in this logo and I don't want to have to recolor the logo (if that is even possible).
-Am I using the correct process for this project?
-Is there a way for 3D production studio to also bring the color with the logo?
-If not, how do I manually multi-color the logo myself?
Any suggestions on the easiest way to import my logo (with color)?
Thanks!
Importing a colored jpg logo
Converting image to vector will create a model of your colored image logo. This applies to all closed paths and will not use the color of your logo. To use all the colors, you will need to apply the same image as photo texture. Once you have completed overlaying the texture proportionately, you can then either manipulate the lighting or turn the lights off. If you decide to turn off all the lights make sure the ambient light color is white. This will bring back the original color of your image that is being used for texture. Hope this helps.

How do you create a texture map of the orginial jpg image? Once it is created how do I apply it?
