create disc
When I go to "Create Disc" I get the message "Failed to load the resource, please re-install Ulead Video Studio" I have now done this, twice, and I still get the same message. Has anyone else experienced this problem and how did they solve it?

What method are you using to create the disc?
Have you read the recommended proceedure on this forum?
Which version of VS?
What file types are you using in the project?
Has it worked properly previously?
When was this?
Have you made any changes whatsoever to the pc since it last worked?
What is your computer system, according to your profile you don't have one

Graham,
Thanks for your reply. The answers are:
I'm trying to create a DVD using DVD-R disc.
Yes I have read the recommended procedures.
I'm using VS10plus
Whatever the program makes. I captured some video from my camcorder inserted a title and a few transitions and then tried to create / burn onto a DVD.
Yes it has worked previously, however, since then I have upgraded my CD/DVD writer to a much faster one, namely a Sony 18x speed. Since then I have been unable to access the Create Disc function.
My computer is a PC desktop with Pentium IV with 1gb RAM.
Pete

Do you follow the recommended proceedure?
Do you make a dv-avi file and then use this to creatre your disc?
Or go straight from the timeline?
Can you create dvd folders on the hdd and burn them?
Does the dvd writer work with other programmes?
WHat speed are you trying to burn at?
Over 4x often results in failure.
What make/speed of disc?
Is this compatible with your writer?
By unable to access the create disc function, do you mean you actually don't get this far?
VS doesn't allow you to try to create a disc?
Or the create disc function fails as it trys to create the disc?
Do you get any error messages?

I do not get as far as creating the disk. As soon as I click on the icon that says "Create Disc" up comes the error message "Failed to load the resource, please re-install Ulead Video Studio". As I explained I have tried reloading the programme (after first un-installing it) and still I get the message. The new Sony DVD writer works with other programmes so I am reasonably happy that it works. The blank DVD's I am using are Verbatim DVD-R 16x speed. When creating my video I go straight from the time line to "Share" having first rendered the video and saved the project.
All this used to work on my old external DVD writer but that would only allow me to write at 2x speed, hence the upgrade to the Sony internal drive which can write upto 18x speed.
Thanks

The general Nero suite itself is no problem. It is the packet writing element of it which causes the problem. It in effect takes over a burner and denies it to VS. That is InCD which has already been mentioned. Moreover, it installs as a separate program, so removing 'Nero" may not remove InCD and it is only InCD which you have to uninstall. In Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, look to see if InCD is still there.
