How to stop fade in when going from menu to movie...
How do I prevent Moviefactory 5 Plus from doing the 'fade in' from the menu to the screen? I thought i figured it out by just choosing the circle with the line through it on the menu options, but it still does it....how do I prevent that?
Is your menu background still or motion?
I don't think it's possible with a motion menu (or audio). That would require the player itself to perform the crossfade on-the-fly.
But, you could fake-it with a still. Just duplicate the menu backgound as a still image as the first thing in the actual video. Then cross-fade to the program as part as the movie-program.

As you already said, it is the choice with a circle and a line thru it (no transition). This works with my installation. How do I prevent Moviefactory 5 Plus from doing the 'fade in' from the menu to the screen?
The transition (or lack of transition) from the menu to playing the chosen clip is the Menu Out setting.
Maybe you missed the option somewhere. The chapter menus (if you choose to create them) have their own settings. Make sure to check them in the menu editor too.
