cropping with the mask frame?

I wanted to use a mask frame in my video, but it keeps cutting off the heads of people. Is there a way I can choose where on top of the video the mask frame will go (for instance cutting off the bottom and moving closer to the top)?

With your mask highlighted in the Overlay Track you will see in the Preview Window the yellow trim handles around your mask to resize it. Moving your mouse over top of it will produce the crosshair for moving it.

I meant that I wanted to choose where the mask itself would crop out the overlay, not where the overlay will go (sorry if I was unclear, which I probably was)
