Templates Movie Wizard

Post by randazzo »

I own VS9. How about the movie wizard templates that come with VS10. Are they different? How many are there?

I also noticed that the extra available plugin (40 bucks) has exactly the same templates i already own with VS9.

Please be aware that I'm NOT talking about DVD-menu templates.

Jean-Pierre

I don't use the Movie Wizard, however fired up VS10 and counted 10 templates in the Wizard.

I noticed the templates offered for sale by Ulead, shortly after they released them. I went through all versions I own, (8,9, and 10+) and also found that I already had them..;)

I think the package was really aimed at those who are starting out fresh with VS10 and have never had any of the previous versions to borrow from. And of course people complained that there weren't enough in VS10...

If you are referring to the Movie Wizard Templates, no there is no easy or safe way to import them into VS10. However if you want to use a Movie Wizard Template and VS10, there is a method to do this.
  • In VS9 run the Movie Wizard use the template of your choosing.
  • When the MW is finished, allow it to open into a project in the video editor.
  • Save your project as a VSP (VideoStudio Project file). Close VS9
  • Launch VS10 or 10+, then insert the VSP file you saved in VS9.
Now you have a "virtual clip" in VS10 that has the VS9 template applied to it.
Not exactly the same, but close enough???
