What operating system does your computer use -- some form of Windows? And what are your hard disks formatted in -- NTFS or Win32? Hard disks which use FAT32 are limited to file sizes of 4 GB.
In a sense, though, this does not matter. If you put your two files into the VS timeline, they will play smoothly togther in Project mode over the break. And you can cut, edit, and join them in the same way as though they were one file.

See also this thread which reports a similar problem -- though with no solution. http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 8555#98555
The last poster in the thread notes that he thinks the problem is a bug related to using Split by Scene when recording a TV program.

thanks someone said to reformat my hard drive to ntfs
Im using Windows XP The problem is when i go to create disc and i load 2 files. When i try to make a menu it makes a Main menu page first with the to files.....I have to click on each one to get my sub-menus? What I want is just the sub menus NOT the Main menu I even go to the Advanced button and "Create Main menu" is NOT checked........I dont know?????? If i load just 1 file when i go to the Advanced button I can de-select "Create Main Menu" and it works fine

Hi Wilhiho
Menu¡¦s:-
The advanced option to disable the main menu is only available when using one file.
If you have more than one then you have to have a main menu.
-----------------------------------
The limitations of your operating system to 4Gb is forcing you to use two files.
You have two options
1 / Change your filing system to ntfs.
2 / Render your project again (Share Create Video File ) Using a lower bit rate.
Now I am guessing:- if you reduce the bit rate by 500 kbps you will probably create one file under 4 Gb. This will satisfy your operating system and fit to one disc.
You do not say what the properties are for your two video files?
OK
Use Tools--Make Movie Manager to create a template.
Use the ¡¥Add¡¦ option
Browse for one of your video files.
Give it a template name
¡¥Edit¡¦ the template¡XChange only the bit rate, reducing it by 500. (that¡¦s the guess)
To use the template, open your project
Share ¡V Create video file¡XUsing your template.
It will render to ¡¥hopefully¡¦ one file. Under 4 Gb.
Hope this Helps
