I lost all video playback on all playback software (WMP, ATI, etc) including VS10 Plus when I uninstalled VS9. I installed VS10 Plus upgrade on top of VS9 which was an upgrade from VS8. I had no problem with VS9 after uninstalling VS8.
Do I need to have both VS9 and 10 Plus on my machine in order for
VS 10 Plus to work properly?
Is there something I can download to patch this up?
Running XP Home with SP2
ATI 9550 256 RAM
Thanks

You do not need to have VS9 on your machine (although many useres do), but by removing it you probably removed some files that both VS9 & VS10 use. If you have the VS10 disk, insert it and use the Repair function. If you have the download version you will have to do a reinstall.

Can you be alittle more specific. When you say you have lost all playback. Does it playback with no video or does it totally refuse to play perhaps claiming the correct codec is not available or something like that?
You should be able to uninstall VS9 so I assume the uninstall routine has removed something needed for playback.
