When I burn my completed project to DVD, the video plays fine but there is no sound. The sound plays fine within VS and also if I convert the project to avi or mpeg and play it in Windows Media Player. It's not until I burn to DVD that I lose it. I've tried rendering and burning from the original project within the program as well as importing the avi and mpeg into VS and burning that way but it nothing helps.
I'm running VS 7 on a 2.6 gig Pentium IV with 512 RAM. Some clips were analog captured with an ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 7500 device - others were digital and captured with firewire (I upgraded my cam half way through the project).
Any help would be appreciated - deadline next week. Thanks in advance!

Scott,
What audio format are you using when you burn your DVD? MPEG doesn't play on all DVD players..I have one JVC player that has only an optical out to the reciever and anything I burn in MPEG format won't have sound on that DVD player. If your using LPCM audio it should be okay. Maybe you could post your burn profiles..

Thanks Tom,
First of all, I was wrong about my efforts....thought I had tried to burn after importing the AVI but I guess I didn't because it worked. Still no sound the other two ways. Writing this from work - will check and post the settings tomorrow from home.
Related question - there seems to be a consistent problem with audio glitches (crackles, skips, etc.) whenever I render to an AVI. Is there a fix for this? Should I post in a different forum?
Thanks again!

I also have a JVC DVD player and am having trouble with no sound after I crete a DVD via VideoStudio 8. I am pretty certain that I burned using LPCM audio but I am still getting nothing. I did not make any changes to the standard setup. I have been able to use other software to create DVDs but cannot figure out this one. Any advice?DVDTom wrote:Scott,
