Whats the correct order to install ULead Video Studio 10 Plus on a Vista 64 computer? First install the CD, then apply the Vista patch?
Do we need to apply the SP1 patch first, then Vista, or does the Vista patch take care of updating everything on its own.
Vista Patch needs SP1 first?

Well it basically works under Vista, but it sure isn't pretty. In timeline mode if you go too fast between segments it often locks up. It adds something to your STARTUP SEQUENCE that means it goes to BASIC mode on the desktop EVERY TIME YOU REBOOT!
I can understand the program but HOW ON EARTH do you think it's acceptable to go to BASIC DESKTOP MODE ON STARTUP.
All in all, it's at least relatively stable, unlike Premiere Elements and Sony Vegas, which are total bomb-fests. But it's not really all that nice an app to use under Vista, and that startup thing is just awful. How can I disable it. If I can't I'm just uninstalling the entire package.

Crash and BURN
Well it's not VERY Vista compatible I'll say that. Rebooting during Renders, locking up during timeline edits.
I play games all the time on this system, I use photoshop constantly, no problems.
This is NOT Vista Compatible, or rather, NOT very stable under Vista even with the Vista Patch. I'm done with it, this software has really alienated me with it's poor rendering performance and instability. It's sluggish and flakey on my XP system as well, but its HORRIBLE under Vista even with the patch.
It didn't even bother to uninstall Smartsound and Indeo when it was done. Maybe Studio 15 will be acceptable. As bad as my experience with this software is, Premiere elements and Sony Vegas were much worse under Vista. Although they run far better under XP than Video Studio 10 Plus does.
