Saving used video clips

Post by givensk »

I want to start a new project but the program continues to displayed video clips from previous projects. I wanted to know if it was possible to start a new projects without the previous clips showing?

Create a new VIDEO folder for each of your projects. You can then select which video folder to display as you start a new project...

The clips are in the timeline, or the library? Clips in the library are normal, until you delete them. Right click on one and choose delete to delete the thumbnail. Right click on one, hold the Shift key and choose delete to delete the file from your computer. To delete several at once use typical Windows key combinations (Shift+click to select a sequence of clips, Ctrl+click to select random clips).
You may want to look into using the Library Manager to manage your clips. Put all you clips for a project in one library. When you are done just delete the library.

Loibrary Manager

Post by Ken Veal »

Hi
It makes things a lot easier if your clips ,files and projects are stored in the Library Manager then they can be deleted in one swoop. To access the L.M either Go Tools –Lib Man or select it from the list via the drop down arrow next to where you change the library type.Choose the media type then new-name it,select edit to amend name/description if required. You can then delete the named folders and their contents in one go when you want to.

And if you want to delete your clips from the computer as well, then click SHIFT + DEL and you will be asked if you want to delete the original as well. Otherwise they stay on your computer.
