GIF - basic stuff - how do I see 2 images for transition

Post by witzend »

Hi - I've asked a similar Q in another posting but thought it might get missed.

I want to use BURGER TRANSITION to move from 1 image to an underlying image.

I've managed to load the transitions into GIF (YEAH for me!!) but I can't seem to figure out what to do in order to get 2 frames/images to sit on top of each other and the transition to work between the 2 of them. I know it's going to probably be really basic but PLEASE can somebody help me!!

You all know by now that I'm completely non-tech but I'm determined to have a go at doing this for a website we're doing.

2 projects -

A: imported text from PI2 with a shiny/shimmer burger effect to pemenantly sit over a banner imported from PI2 and shimmer in a 'loop'. I'd then like to add a scrollfromtheleft text to scroll along the bottom of the banner and sit on the RH side.

B: similar but with a dream fade from one layer to another - going from text to more text plus image.

Thanks

If I'm understanding what you want to do here...

A
Open the banner image you want for the background.
Use "Add Image" to add the text. Posistion it with the Pick tool.
Apply the Burger F/X.
Select the frame you want the banner text to start on, and create the banner text.

B
Open your image file. In this case, your first text image.
Click the Add Frame button.
Use Add Image to add the second text and image (you can hold the CTRL key to select more than one thing at a time to add).
Select Frame 1 and apply the F/X.

I'll try this 'add image' I think I was 'opening' instead of 'adding'

Thanks for your help - I'll let you know!
