Lost video- new user

Post by jase888 »

Hi

I recently posted a forum about lsoing video filter on ulead, someone said on another post if you create another user on the pc then transfer some files it will be working.

Thats all ok but I just want to know how to get rid of the other user once done so that I can go back to just having one.

Thanks

You don't need to do that. If you simply close Video Studio and delete the uvs.ini file in Documents and Settings\username\applicatian data\ulead systems\10.0 and then re-open video studio it should resolve your issue. You'll need to display some hidden files in order to do this.

First, tell us what version of Windows you are running.

Of course you'll have to be logged-on as an administrator. (Your original single-user account will be an administrator account.)

It should be under Local Users and Groups. It may be as simple as highlighting the user and hitting the delete key, or right-clicking the name and selecting remove or delete. Your Windows Help menu should tell you how to find Local Users and Groups on your version of Windows.

I think you'll have to delete that user's My Documents folder (etc.) manually.

If you had your system set-up as to log you on automatically, I'm not sure if you can go back to that configuration once you've added another user (unless you re-install Windows).
