Sadly, the second is not far off the mark!  As usual, my New Year's resolution involved a diet, which I am currently on, assisted this time by Xenical!

But I would be lying if I said that I am a committed dieter. This time, it is just to lose a few kilos so I can put them on again in the wonderful restaurants of Brussels, which I will be visiting for a month in about 6 weeks time!!!

I'm nobody but my congratulations too Ken, although this is no contest it shows your dedication to this users community.

When you're in my hometown, don't go to Comme Chez Soi, they have not only lost one star in the Michelin guide.
Pierrot (Pierre Wynants) has slowly retired for his son-in-law and it shows.

But hey! Where did you get that belgian food increases weight?
You know, although french fries are really belgian fries, it's only in retaurants that they are served with every meal. In real life we don't eat them more than germans eat saurkraut; once in a while.

Be prepared for a little rain, though, you've chosen the worst month of the year to come by.
This my understanding of it.
I have been proven wrong on several occasions in my life. It's not going to improve.

Ken Berry wrote:-- especially when I see I have 2500 or so posts to go just to catch up to where Steve is now!
I bet most of those were links, though!

Seriously though, you don't look a post over 1000 in your avatar!

Heinz,

No offence taken mate. As for Encounter Bay, its about 100 Klms down the South Coast from Adelaide. Just 6 Klms out of Victor Harbor, our premier seaside destination. For what it's worth, I once lived in Adelaide, but this is Gods own country here and I'm staying.

Adelaide, like Melbourne and Canberra, is for visiting, not living in.

Regards

Yeah Dave, I know that neck of the woods, just beautiful. Unfortunately, to make a living, I need the big smoke. One of these days I hope to retire to the Greek islands. Now that would top God¡¦s own country I think.

Just wanted to add my congrats, Ken. My posts amount to zero compared to yours. However, I've read A LOT of your posts while trying to learn more about the Ulead products.

Reading your posts, I've often thought "now that's a coolheaded guy who handles the frustration of the helping/teaching others well". That's more than it might seem on the surface to some. It takes a lot of patience to deal with others in writing when you can't see their project and have to rely on well-meaning but often inept descriptions from the student. And too, even more talent to come across in the written word as smoothly as you manage.

Here's to your 4000th post :)

I thought I ought to mention that two more of our brotherhood have surpassed the 3000 milestone.

Well done Ron - Vidoman
And Heinz - Heinz-oz.

Although I am only an occassional user, I immensely appreciate all the effort that Ken has put in over the years. This applies to Steve, Ron, Heinz, and many others as well.

I frequently search the archives for answers when I get stuck and there is typically the answer waiting for me posted by Ken or one of the others. Those times when I am simply too thick to do an effective search and psot a query, one of "the gang" usually rights my wagon and gets me on my way again with a reply.

Thanks to you all, and Kudos to you Ken on your milestone! <applause>

Regards,

Congratulations and thanks Ken.
Although there are others who havehelped me personally in the past you have "been there" to help me many times with my questions.
Even some posts from you have been 'post marked' at rediculous hours in the morning - don't you sleep? |-O
