Video Overlay?

Post by i7nvd »

You know when you see on a show like Conan O'Brien or somthing when they have a picture of a celebrity, but they've cut out the mouth, and instead they have a video/audio feed of someone's mouth in the place of the hole? Does anybody know how I could accomplish this effect? I've figured out that I can make a mask around the mouth of the moving image, and I can paste it frame by frame into my static image, but there's gotta be something quicker/easier than that. Any suggestions?

It's close, but not quite. The only reason it's not is that I don't have either of those programs. I have Video Capture, Video Editor and Video Paint, all version 6.5. I only installed them today, so maybe I'm missing something, but that's all I see!

No you're not missing any programs - I just happen to have a shed load of stuff. You can create the mask using any image editing program
such as PhotoImpact, Photoshop, Paintshop Pro etc.

The effect can also be created with VideoStudio - that part of the tutorial is for the benefit of VideoStudio users who do not have MediaStudio.
