VOB copy

I copied several episodes of a TV programme to a DVD using my DVD/Hard drive that's connected to the TV.
Now I want to copy the DVD using the computer, but there is an error on the final episode and it will not play or read or copy. All the other episodes are OK. The original files have been deleted off the hard drive so I can't go back and make another one.

I tried to use "Import DVD" but it doesn't work. It just locks the computer up while trying to read the DVD.

I have copied all the VOB files apart from the defective one to the hard drive and tried renaming one as an mpg, but when I open it in MSPro 8 it only shows and plays a couple of minutes instead of the 40 minutes or so, that it plays in Win Media Player.

Is there a way I can get these good episodes (VOB) onto an extra DVD?

If you Google VOB>MPG, you will get a host of freeware/shareware/trial versions you can try. Some may work better than others.
