transferring mini dvd to pc

Post by sueanddomenick »

I am new to video recording and have purchased a samsung mini dvd recorder. I have created my first video and it is fine. I can play it on my pc. I want to know how to transfer the video to my computer, also I have tried to open video studio 9, the movie maker and I put in the mini DVD and click on samsung-TS on my drive, it loads as vidoman says, but the import button is not highlighted and I cannot transfer the video into my timeline. I must be doing something wrong, please help!! Thanks, Sue

Do you have a full version of VideoStudio or either a
trial version or an SE version?

The latter two versions do not contain the full range of options contained in the full version. A 'SE' version is one normally provided with an item such as a camcorder, scanner, digital camera or other similar item.

I have the version that came with the camcorder Video studio 9 SE. What good is this version if I can't transfer the mini dvd's? How can I get the full version? Thanks Sue

All I really want to do is add some of the scenes to my slide show that I am making. I am placing a few photos and then I wanted to add a clip from the dvd, then some more photos ets. Guess I will have to stick to having a slide show with only pictures. Thanks alor for your help. Sue

The SE version is like a never ending free trial.
You would need to go to the Ulead website and purchase the full version.
Before doing that try downloading the 30 day free trial which may contain more options than your current SE version so that you get a better feel for the item and so help you decide if it is right for you.

As an alternative there are a number of FREE programs about that could overcome the defficiences of the SE version including programs that will import a DVD onto your hard drive.

Check our Links to FREE stuff
you can also do a google search.
