Is this related to your other post about a simplified way of producing a DVD without editing?

If so, it appears you are capturing in uncompressed AVI format from your USB capture device. See if it will allow you to capture in DVD-compatible mpeg-2. Did the USB device come with its own software? If so, use that to capture to mpeg-2. Then open VS in its burning module the way I suggested in the other thread and insert those captured files.

If not, and you use VS to capture, then in the Capture pane of Video Studio, you have to make sure the correct mpeg-2 capture plug-in is chosen. Check Tools > Change Capture Plug-In and make sure 'Ulead DSW MPEG capture plug-in' is selected.

If that does not work, then what version exactly of VS are you using. If it has 'SE Basic' in the title, then it probably does not contain the mpeg-2 codec necessary to edit or burn mpeg-2 to a DVD.
