Using movie clips from an Olympus Digital Camera

Post by EVAD »

Help,

I have just put together a project with a mixture of AVI clips from my Sony Video Camera and some MOV clips from my Olympus Digital Camera. The clips all play ok when I highlight them singularly but when a I play the clips together or attempt to share them as a video project the Video Camera clips play ok but the sound on the MOV clips just becomes white noise. Can anyone one suggest a solution? The only one that I can think of is to transfer the mov clips onto my DV camera to convert to AVI files. I have tried to convert them using the utility on Video Studio but again the clips play with white noise instead of the audio track.

The clips play ok on media player 11 but not on apple quicktime.

What CODEC does Olympus use for their MOV files? With a clip in VS, highlight it, right-click and select properties. Most of Kodak's cameras use the MJPEG codec, and when you install Kodak's Eashyshare software it installs the CODEC. That's how I was able to get VS to play my MOV files created with my Kodak Easyshare P880.
